- We love our stay! The staff was very friendly and informative! The breakfast was spectacular with a beautiful view! So much history in that house! Our room was great and updated, and equipped! Super clean! The town was quiet and great for strolling. The pool area was well prepared! We enjoyed the time there and would recommend it!
- Beautiful, charming boutique hotel. Perched on the side of a hill, with lovely views across the orchard fields and river, to the hills beyond. 100+ year old building, perfectly renovated, with excellent modern amenities, without losing the charm. Really lovely spaces to hang-out in, eat the delicious breakfast in. Swimming pool and terrace for floating in. Super attentive, friendly, helpful manager and staff. We came back from a long bike ride and were greeted with glasses of homemade lemonade. Top place in our two weeks roaming in Portugal.
- We loved our stay here and the staff could not have been more friendly. The place had character and rooms have an exceptional view across the local town and fields beyond. Breakfast was superb and we loved the quality and attention to detail of everything - from the cutlery used to the fact we had bathrobes to relax in our rooms. We appreciated that we could store our pushbikes safely whilst cycling the N2 across Portugal.
Cons -
- Nothing!
- A tip not a complaint--talk to the hotel in advance to make dinner arrangements as the lovely village is off the beaten track (that is a big plus), but has only a few restaurants.
- The hotel was quite chilly when we were there, so it was hard to enjoy the building outside of our room. The weather was cold in March, and I think the temperature would be more pleasant later in the spring and summer.

It was a charming boutique hotel. The staff was great and helpfull. Mora is a very small village what is great when you only want to relax. Still, it has some nice museums and you will always find restaurants nearby were to enjoy nice meals.
The hotel is in a beautiful old house, full of character. Very comfortable bed, great breakfast, kind host and staff. I loved the little town of Mora - it's so peaceful but has everything you need. For warmer months, there's a large garden and swimming pool to enjoy.

This place is a true gem! Very friendly staff/owner, spacious & cosy rooms, and convenient location to explore the heart of inland Portugal. And - not common in Portugal - very pet friendly. We had a delightful stay!
In winter the common areas can be a bit chilly.
The location is perfect - close to center of the town. The hotel is fantastic, on of the most beautiful buildings and room I have stayed in. I have travelled allot - but this one is one of the best !
Everything to be honest. The sympathy of the staff to start! Very welcoming and nice. The building is astonishing on the inside, you feel you are in a Palace. The comfort and decor are just to die for. The food is amazing! If you are looking to switch off from the daily routine, this is the place.
Nothing!
Beautifully renovated manor house with big bedrooms and stunning guest spaces including the garden. Very quiet and a perfect location. Really nice breakfast with a view.
An excellent spot for a weekend getaway. Great pool area, delicious breakfast, and exquisite design.
Quiet and convinient location in an old, newly restored building, just few minutes walk from the centre of Mora. Super friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed.
Situated in an absolutely stunning part of Portugal, the hotel is a renovated traditional country Manor House. There are superb views down to the river and across the valley. We were greeted by wonderfully friendly staff, including the owner who made our short stay most enjoyable. The food available in the hotel restaurant was of the highest standard.

Welcoming hosts have recreated an elegant historical house within picturesque Mora. Great pool and breakfast.
Absolutely stunning hotel beautifully restored. Owner and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Food was exceptional. Would definitely stay again.
Nothing. Everything was great
Beautiful old property. Amazing views. Luxurious and very clean. Staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. Best breakfast we had in Portugal. Loved it and well worth the money
All perfect
Recently refurbished and under new ownership, the new owner was very courteous and gave us a lot of info of the building, sustainability . The service was faultless
The shower floor not enclosed, with my height the water ended up on the bathroom floor. The sliding door in the bedroom to the veranda didn’t close completely. These are little things that can be addressed and does not take credit off the Hotel
Lilases is located in the centre of Mora, which is a beautiful town in the Alto Alentejo. Lilases has been fully restored and offers great accommodation, beautiful gardens, a swimming pool and very nice food. Great for a peaceful break in deep, real Portugal.
Everything!!!It was our 2nd time there, and we are looking forward to next year! ?
